Goals:
1. To mentor, foster, and develop abilities in these young people so they
will be able to make ethical decisions that will
last a lifetime
2. To lend support through training programs, where concentration will
be placed on varied long-standing maritime standards
3. To provide a vehicle for creativity through in‑house training and
development, enhancing the basics from boat design to naval architecture
4. To develop hands‑on skills by learning how to become Navigators as well
as expert Helmsmen
5. To facilitate communication and cooperative effort
6. To function as one of many venues discussing safe boating education,
the how’s and why’s concerning rules, regulations and laws, as well as how
best we can serve to bring forward the information we gather for the
betterment of the public
7. To establish, develop, and maintain, cooperative relationships with
local and national yachting clubs, the United States Power Squadrons,
Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the U. S. Naval Academy, Sea
Cadets, the Sea Scouts, and the Neptune Yacht Club, to name a few.
