Maryland Youth Maritime Academy, Inc.’s (MD.YMA) is year-round program and it is designed to develop and disseminate programs that foster disabled, disadvantaged, at-risk children teens and young adults, many from the inner-city,  toward ethical, social, and intellectual development, nurturing their capacity to think skillfully and critically.

MD.YMA develops, enhances, and expands the capabilities of these students, enabling them to meet the many challenges ahead with confidence.  MD.YMA strives to deepen their commitment to pro-social values (such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility, and respect for others and trust), values we believe are essential to meeting the challenges ahead with confidence.
